The mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” is probably the most widely known Tibetan Buddhist mantra. Literally meaning “Hail the jewel in the lotus”, this six syllable mantra is an invocation of Avlokiteshvara who is invoked as the saviour and the Protector from danger. This mantra can be found inscribed on rocks, prayer wheels, loose stones heaped as Mani (jewels) on roads, paths and mountain passes – and on these beautiful sets of prayer flags.
These flags are available in small size (approx. 3.75cm x 5.75cm – 15 flags per string) – suitable for your car or home – and medium size (approx. 10cm x 13cm – 10 flags per string) – suitable for home and also outside. All our prayer flags are made by Tibetan people living in India.
